Heckscher Museum of Art
R&L’s thorough knowledge of the process and protocols related to government grant submissions helped this first-time applicant secure the maximum amount awarded by the Institute of Museum & Library Services Museums for America program—$250,000. In addition to preparing the grant application, R&L developed a community-based evaluation plan as an asset to the project. During the grant period, an R&L evaluator led logic model and focus group workshops with the project team and community advisors. We also collaborated to design evaluation tools, guide data collection, tabulate and analyze data, and produce reports to quantify the project’s community engagement.

“Hiring an outside firm was a bold move for our organization, and R&L Consulting exceeded our expectations. From the beginning, A.J. Rhodes and her team made sure the process was transparent and clear. R&L brought invaluable expertise related to government grant submissions, and ensured the project always remained on schedule. We highly recommend R&L Consulting to other museums of any size.”
