  • 2025 - The Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $29,889 NSF grant in celebration of NSF’s 75th Anniversary and in support of NSF STEM Day at the Museum, which will highlight NSF-funded research in the local community.

  • 2024 - The Cable Natural History Museum (Cable, WI): $146,695 IMLS Museums for America grant to help residents and visitors of northern Wisconsin understand the special place where they live and play through designing and installing an exhibition about the Northwoods.

 

  • 2024 - The DISCOVERY Children’s Museum (Las Vegas, NV): $120,000 grant from MGM Resorts International to support the Museum’s early childhood robotics education program.

  • 2024 - The DISCOVERY Children’s Museum (Las Vegas, NV): $250,000 IMLS Museums for America grant to launch the fabrication and installation phase of its project to create a centerpiece climber exhibit that explores the theme of the Southern Nevada natural environment.

 

  • 2024 - The Gantt Center for African-American Arts+Culture (Charlotte, NC): $100,000 grant from IMLS' Museum Grants for African American History and Culture (AAHC) program to improve collections stewardship by migrating its collections inventory into a new collections management database and customizing artifact storage.

  • 2024 - The Heckscher Museum of Art (Huntington, NY): $250,000 IMLS Museums for America grant to undertake a collaborative effort to produce exhibitions and associated educational programming showcasing major works by LGBTQ+ artists.

 

  • 2024 - The Long Island Children’s Museums (Garden City, NY): $200,000 Bank of America Neighborhood Builders grant to support the promotion of access programs and pilot a collaboration with other agencies serving families and children.

 

  • 2024 - The Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $150,000 NSF AISL grant in support of research to determine how to center equity, belonging, and broadening participation in informal STEM education through partnerships with culturally and linguistically diverse families and the organizations that serve them.

 

  • 2024 - The Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $20,000 grant from the National Park Service through the New York State National Maritime Heritage Education Subgrant Program to continue to deepen their relationship with members of the nearby Shinnecock Nation, who will create a traditional dugout canoe (mishoon) for a new exhibition called “Saltwater Stories.”

 

  • 2024 - South Carolina State Museum (Columbia, SC): $250,000 IMLS Museums for America grant to capture digital images for over 4,000 specimens from several specific areas of its natural history collection and will incorporate the data into its collections management system. 

 

  • 2023 - Arts in Stark (Canton, OH): $343,516 Ohio Arts Council grant over four years to support ongoing arts and cultural activities.

 

  • 2023 - The DISCOVERY Children’s Museum (Las Vegas, NV): $1,000,000 grant from Windsong Trust International to support the Museum’s Our Next DISCOVERY campaign to refurbish exhibitions, increase the Museum’s endowment and operating reserves, and expand educational programming.

 

  • 2023 - The DISCOVERY Children’s Museum (Las Vegas, NV): $250,000 IMLS Museums for America grant to support a content refresh and renovation of their Water World exhibition so that it requires significantly less water to operate and centers Nevada-specific content around water conservation. 

 

  • 2023 - The Gantt Center for African-American Arts+Culture (Charlotte, NC): $100,000 grant from IMLS' Museum Grants for African American History and Culture (AAHC) program to support the purchase of collections storage equipment and modular walls for their 6,500 square feet of exhibition space.

  • 2023 - Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $35,000 NEA Grants for Arts Projects to fund Community Voices Take Shape: Creating a New Outdoor Mural—the project brings the Museum’s diverse community together with an artist/muralist to create a new 1,160-sq.ft. mural on an exterior wall of its facility.

 

  • 2023 - The Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $250,000 IMLS Museums for America grant to launch the third phase of the development of “Saltwater Stories: The Sea and Me,” a new permanent exhibition about the maritime traditions that have shaped the historical, cultural, and economic development of Long Island. 

 

  • 2022 - Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $201,489 IMLS Museums for America grant for a Lifelong Learning project.  LDCM will implement “STEM4all,” an expansion of its long-standing Westbury STEM Partnership program to all third grade and K-12 special education classes in the Westbury School District. [

 

  • 2022 - Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $40,000 NEA Art Works Grant to fund Toyuskanash: Bridges - In collaboration with two artists from the Shinnecock Indian Nation, Museum staff co-curated an art exhibition and co-developed family workshops to explore story, identity, and place.

 

  • 2022 - South Carolina State Museum (Columbia, SC): $249,856 IMLS Museums for America grant for the third phase of a Collections Stewardship & Public Access project. The Museum will improve the stewardship of its collections through a collections inventory and digitization project of 3,500 objects in its science and technology collection as well as 2,000 objects currently on view in its exhibition galleries.

  • 2021 - Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $50,000 American Rescue Plan Grant to support a pilot expansion of the Westbury STEM Partnership program to engage 3rd grade students and teachers.

​

  • 2021 - Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $249,475 IMLS Museums for America grant to implement the second phase of development of a new permanent exhibition titled “Saltwater Stories: The Sea & Me.” The exhibition will engage families and school audiences in an exploration of the local maritime traditions that have shaped the historical, cultural, and economic development of Long Island.

 

  • 2020 - Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $50,000 NEA CARES Act grant to support staff salaries and virtual programming.

  • 2020 - Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $132,712 IMLS Museums Empowered grant to support leadership development training and succession planning.

  • 2019 - Discovery Place (Charlotte, NC): $249,997 IMLS Discovery Place Community Anchors grant to inform the development of new exhibition and program experiences at Discovery Place Nature.

 

  • 2019 - Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $184,469 IMLS Museums for America Lifelong Learning grant to expand a museum-wide accessibility initiative.

  • 2018 - Asheville Symphony Orchestra (Asheville, NC): $25,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina to fund a recording project with GRAMMY-Award winning bluegrass band, Steep Canyon Rangers.

 

  • 2018 - South Carolina State Museum (Columbia, SC): $209,223 IMLS Collections Stewardship project to conduct an inventory of the art collection and begin populating a new Collections Management System with updated digital accession records and images.

  • 2017 - Park City Museum (Park City, UT): $25,000 IMLS Museums Empowered grant to develop an updated, comprehensive strategic plan to support the trajectory of growth in the coming decade.

  • 2016 - Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $150,000 IMLS Museums for America Learning Experiences grant to support Phase 2 of the Westbury STEM Partnership with a neighboring school district through expansion and ongoing evaluation.

 

  • 2015 - DISCOVERY Children’s Museum (Las Vegas, NV): $150,000 IMLS Museums for America grant for Learning Experiences project to develop an in-depth staff training program.

 

  • 2015 - Fort Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga, NY): R&L Consulting advised on a $150,000 IMLS Museums for America grant to support a reinterpretation of the site’s comprehensive collection of 18th-century artillery.

 

  • 2015 - Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $150,000 IMLS Museums for America Learning Experiences grant to launch an accessibility initiative.

 

  • 2015 - Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $30,000 NEA Art Works Grant to fund the special traveling exhibition The Art of Andy Warhol and related programs, including a series of artist residencies.

  • 2013 - Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY), $150,000 grant from New York State’s Regional Economic Development Council to implement Puppets Take Long Island, a summer puppet festival held throughout Long Island.

  • 2012 - Long Island Children’s Museum (Garden City, NY): $5,000 National Medal for Museum Service, awarded by the Institute of Museum & Library Services. The Museum was one of only five recognized nationally during a ceremony at the White House.
