Long Island Children’s Museum
R&L Consulting has augmented the Museum’s Development Department and has focused primarily on the preparation of grant applications to federal agencies.
We partner with staff to plan and develop proposals and support the management and implementation of initiatives.
R&L Consulting also stepped in during a staffing transition to oversee the management of the development of a new permanent exhibition about maritime history and culture. In addition to making site visits, we coordinated regular meetings with exhibition staff and content advisors, conducted pricing exercises, outlined a detailed project schedule, and advanced the conceptual and schematic development of the project.

The Long Island Children’s Museum has collaborated with R&L Consulting for more than 15 years. They have been an essential partner to our growth as a Museum—helping us shape programs as well as develop the grant applications needed to support those programs. Their work has led to significant federal funding, enabling us to establish long-term initiatives that have had a deep impact on our community. They are well-informed, organized, and passionate about the field and bring that energy and dedication to each project we work on together.
